COLD: Lifeguard Chair at Pier Park Beach, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Couldn't resist this one, even though I think I may have posted a similar one last year. It is 11 degrees F here today! (I am sorry I did not take the time to erase the sensor spots, as I have too much on my plate today!!!) This was taken 2/24/09 and posted 3/2/09 and then I just changed the month to put it in the right month category! It is VERY cold here today in MARCH!

Goodness me snow on the beach - something we never get (oh never say never), I have not seen on a kiwi beach - Like the use of the portrait view on this one Mary - 2nd image - As for a lifeguard warning - a certain amount of irony in that message in January :-)
Yes I do remember one from last year. Havn't gone back to compare but I think I like this best because you can see more of the snow and ice which makes it funnier. It really is very funny isn't it. As for your sensor spots it seems to me you need to get your sensor cleaned as it will save you a heck of a lot of time. There are so many spots I had thought they were birds.
Ooh I just saw my new mini pic come up for the first time. I didn't spend a lot of time choosing one just grabbed the first pic I thought might work. I think it looks more like me than the last one though.
Back to the sensor spots I have been waiting for my ex boss to buy an arctic butterfly but I think he is waiting for me. From reading reports I think this would be the best thing but it is not cheap. Meantime I just use a big rocket blower which keeps them down somewhat. Sometimes they seem to be stuck on and then I have to take to a shop which costs hmmm can't remember now but about £30. It is cheaper than a few years ago though.
We have a sensor cleaning kit but I'm afraid to try to use it and Keith doesn't seem willing either. it's his kit. I got it for him half hoping he'd work on MY sensors as well as his own--it does help some when he does.
Very discouraging.
It would be a bit dangerous to swim, though! Brrr! You'd have to chop through a FOOT of ice, first!
I got one too but not the arctic butterfly. My one kind of sticks to the sensor and it really frightens me to use it. So I don't. What is yours?

I forget, I've been afraid to use it too--it's a kit in a black zippered case--I need to try to use it. AK! I was hoping Keith would, but he isn't.
I got it a while back so it may no longer be state of the art. I see it there on the desk, but I don't even want to open it.
