WALK AROUND THE BLOCK - London

Here is the original. I made several conversions from the RAW file and produced a colour one which was much darker and spookier. I turned it to black and white as I thought it suited it.

I met my old friends in London last Thursday. Took my camera and after they had gone home I carried on taking pics. I was walking along the embankment by the Thames.

These are very nice--I always worry about taking pictures of people. You did good--I like them both. Hard to say which I like better.

I mean I worry about taking pictures of people I don't know.

I know what you mean I am the same but am trying to overcome it as I do enjoy looking at street photography. We have been watching a series on tele about different photographers and I was inspired by one whose name I cannot bring to mind but he was a great street photographer. He said he usually tries to kid people into thinking he is taking pictures of something else.

The b&w one came up much lighter than this on CPS club projector and you could see quite a bit of the graffiti. This time I guess Geoff was right as he said I should have made the graffiti more visible. That is just what the judge said. Ah well we don't just do things to please judges do we.

I like these shots very much especially the b/w something mysterious about it - make a good book cover !! oh just read your above comment again about graffiti being more visible suppose its a point but I like as is - the lighting on the guy and textures in his mac - attracted me.
